Overview
Contract Software Engineer (Discovery Project) – Associate Director – Technology Solutions. This is a hands-on technical consultancy role requiring a blend of software engineering expertise, solution design, and stakeholder engagement within a regulated enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current ecosystem of legal applications and identify opportunities to streamline, integrate, and modernise tools and workflows across the function.
- Collaborate with the Head of Legal and engineering teams to inform design and delivery of technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, solution design, and guidance throughout discovery and delivery phases.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant within enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of integration architecture and API-driven systems.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – preferably across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to or experience integrating with legal technology applications (e.g. iManage, Legal Tracker, HighQ, Contract Lifecycle Management tools, TrustArc, OneTrust).
- Strong analytical and communication skills — able to bridge business and technical teams effectively.
- Previous experience in discovery, assessment, or solution design projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance considerations in regulated industries.
