We are seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Engineer to join a leading financial services and insurance client. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s data systems and management reporting, helping teams turn information into actionable insights.

About the Role:

You will design and implement reporting solutions and business intelligence (BI) tools that improve data accessibility and strengthen analytics across the organisation. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will support the delivery of the company’s data strategy while producing accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimise business data usage to support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement data strategies to enhance the analytical capabilities of Syndicate and Compliance teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison for data coordination between the Syndicate team and central systems (HUB).
  • Deliver high-quality data for forms, statements, reports, member communications, and online portals.

Essential Skills:

  • SQL & Python: Writing efficient queries, automating data processing, and analytics scripting.
  • ETL Tools: Experience in Extract, Transform, Load processes to consolidate and transform data.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience working in a financial services environment or insurance broker.

Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Microsoft Azure: Experience with Azure Data Factory (workflow orchestration), Azure Synapse Analytics (data warehousing), and Azure Functions (task automation).
  • Azure DevOps: Skilled in CI/CD, pipeline creation, and deployment automation.
  • .NET / C# Development: Comfortable developing backend processes and automation scripts in C#.
