Roc-Search are currently seeking a talented Permanent Design Engineer to join an award-winning, independent global leader based in Aberdeen. This role offers a dynamic opportunity where you will see your designs evolve from 3D models to fully functional subsea equipment deployed worldwide.

As a Design Engineer, you will be integral to the technical team, developing bespoke and standard tooling solutions for fast-paced global operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 3D Design & Drafting: Utilize Solidworks to create everything from concept models to detailed manufacturing drawings (BS8888).
  • Engineering Rigor: Conduct FEA studies and calculations to confirm the suitability of designs.
  • Full Lifecycle: Produce manuals, testing procedures, and provide technical support to operations and procurement teams.
  • Hands-on Support: Visit suppliers, witness load tests, and perform part inspections.
  • What We’re Looking For:
  • Essential: Previous experience in ROV/ROV Tooling design.
  • Software: Proficient in 2D/3D design packages, modelling, and preparation for FEA.
