Mechanical Pipefitter
Location: Lincolnshire
Contract: 3 months initially
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and assembly of small-bore PVC pipework, typically 15-50mm diameter.
- Reading and working from mechanical drawings, pipework layouts and isometric drawings.
- Measuring, cutting and preparing PVC pipework for installation.
- Installing bends, tees, valves, couplings and associated fittings.
- Solvent welding/jointing PVC pipework where required.
- Installing pipework supports, brackets and fixings.
- Surface mounting pipework to walls, frames and plant structures.
- Carrying out modifications and alterations to existing pipework systems.
- Supporting pressure/leak testing and rectification of installation issues.
- Working alongside mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter, Pipe Installer or similar mechanical role.
- Proven experience working with PVC/plastic pipework, ideally small-bore systems.
- Valid EUSR card
- Valid CSCS card
- Industrial, water, wastewater or process-plant experience would be advantageous.
The role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Pipefitter with previous industrial experience, who is comfortable working with small-bore PVC pipework and holds the required EUSR and CSCS cards.
