I'm recruiting for an established specialist in bespoke interior fit-out, commercial interiors and manufacturing, looking for an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join their technical team in Mansfield.
This is a technical and manufacturing-focused CAD role, taking concept and architectural drawings through to detailed production information for the workshop.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing concept drawings into detailed manufacturing drawings
- Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Preparing BOMs, cutting lists, cutting files and production sheets
- Producing information for CNC and manufacturing
- Working closely with workshop, manufacturing and project teams
- Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical and ready for production
We're looking for 5+ years' experience in a technical CAD/manufacturing environment, with strong skills in:
- AutoCAD
- Inventor
- SolidWorks
Experience with bespoke joinery, furniture or interior fit-out is highly desirable. Experience working on museums, exhibitions, high-end/cosmetic retail, hospitality, commercial offices, corporate interiors or branded retail environments would be particularly relevant.
You could come from a background as a Senior CAD Technician, Technical Draughtsperson, Technical Designer, Joinery/Furniture Designer or Architectural Technician - the key is strong technical detailing and an understanding of how designs are manufactured.
