This is a hands‑on senior field role focused on the long‑term reliability and performance of utility‑scale renewable energy assets. You will take ownership of day‑to‑day technical activity across solar PV and battery energy storage sites, acting as a trusted point of expertise for fault diagnosis, maintenance delivery and site safety.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across solar PV and battery storage assets.
- Complete inspections, reports and work orders.
- Supervise contractors, deliver site inductions and support safe systems of work.
- Participate in a weekend on‑call rota (1 out of 3).
- Travel occasionally to support other operational regions.
- Take part in ongoing technical, on‑site and classroom‑based training, including opportunities for overseas training.
- Future potential for direct reports/management.
Skills & experience:
- Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer (BS 7671).
- Inspection & testing experience (City & Guilds).
- HV experience - AP/SAP training up to 33kV advantageous.
- Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Experience with inverter / power conversion systems desirable.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
