We are looking for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality mechanical design solutions. Working across a variety of projects, you will produce 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation while championing a right-first-time approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical equipment and systems to project briefs
- Produce accurate 3D models, drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Manage drawings, BoMs, and models using internal systems
- Review colleagues' designs and participate in design reviews
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and ISO 9001 processes
- Improve designs through DfMA and value-engineering practices
What You'll Bring
- Strong 3D CAD capability (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Good knowledge of BS 8888 technical drawing standards
