An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of its quality and environmental management systems and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. This is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to influence quality strategy, improve operational performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will champion best practice, promote a culture of quality, and support the business in achieving its long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company's Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Lead internal and external audit activities.
- Develop, implement and monitor quality objectives and performance measures.
- Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and business processes.
- Analyse quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain quality documentation, procedures and records.
- Work collaboratively with operational and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support wider compliance and health and safety initiatives across the business.
About You
The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management within a manufacturing or engineering environment and be passionate about driving high standards and continuous improvement. You will ideally possess:
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance position.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Experience managing audits and quality management systems.
- Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience implementing process improvements and driving quality performance.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or related methodologies would be advantageous.
