We are seeking an experienced Fuel Systems Design Engineer with strong Creo expertise to support the design and development of fuel system components and installations within the automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering production‑ready fuel system designs, ensuring compliance with performance, packaging, durability, and manufacturing requirements within a fast‑paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop fuel system components and installations using Creo.
- Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Design fuel tanks, fuel lines, brackets, pumps, valves, and associated components.
- Support vehicle integration and packaging activities.
- Work closely with manufacturing, test, prototype, and supplier teams.
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance studies, and DFMEA activities.
- Support engineering change management and issue resolution.
- Ensure designs meet quality, timing, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Fuel Systems Design Engineer within automotive or commercial vehicle sectors.
- Strong Creo / Creo Parametric CAD experience.
- Experience with fuel system design, routing, and packaging.
- Knowledge of metal and plastic components, tubing, and fluid systems.
- Experience producing engineering drawings with GD&T.
- Familiarity with automotive development and release processes.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
- Understanding of fuel system testing and validation.
- Exposure to hybrid or alternative fuel systems.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline.
