We are currently seeking experienced Outage Planners to join us on a contract basis to support major outage and shutdown programmes across the UK. These roles sit within complex, highly regulated engineering and construction environments where structured planning and on-site schedule control are critical to successful delivery. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-impact outage projects in the energy and engineering sectors.
Scope of Work
- Engage key stakeholders during pre-outage planning phases
- Develop and manage detailed schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Implement and apply Earned Value Measurement (EVM) at workface level
- Transition into on-site schedule control during outage execution
- Deliver structured reporting, cost control, and risk management
- Monitor critical path activities and manage cross-functional interfaces
- Travel and on-site presence are essential as projects move into execution.
Required Experience
- Proven outage / shutdown / turnaround planning background
- Strong Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 capability
- Practical experience implementing Earned Value Measurement
- Background within engineering, construction, energy, or utilities sectors
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Eligible to work in the UK
