This is a hands-on senior field role focused on the long-term reliability and performance of utility-scale renewable energy assets. You will take ownership of day-to-day technical activity across solar PV and battery energy storage sites, acting as a trusted point of expertise for fault diagnosis, maintenance delivery and site safety.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across solar PV and battery storage assets.
- Complete inspections, reports and work orders.
- Supervise contractors, deliver site inductions and support safe systems of work.
- Participate in a weekend on-call rota (1 out of 3).
- Travel occasionally to support other operational regions.
- Take part in ongoing technical, on-site and classroom-based training, including opportunities for overseas training.
- Future potential for direct reports/management.
Skills & experience:
- Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer (BS 7671).
- Inspection & testing experience (City & Guilds).
- HV experience - AP/SAP training up to 33kV advantageous.
- Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Experience with inverter / power conversion systems desirable.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
