We are seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng) to join our client on a contract basis, supporting a range of Material Handling, Process, and Industrial projects. The successful candidate will provide structural design expertise across multiple sectors, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of complex engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structural design and analysis for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Produce calculations, reports, and drawings in accordance with engineering standards.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, civil, and project engineering teams on integrated solutions.
- Support project delivery from concept design through to detailed engineering and construction.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and reviews where required.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IStructE or ICE (essential).
- Proven experience within Material Handling, Process, or Industrial environments.
- Strong technical understanding of steelwork and concrete structures.
- Proficient in relevant software (Tekla, Tedds, STAAD, Robot, etc.).
- Capable of operating autonomously while maintaining communication with the wider design team.
- Practical and commercial mindset, with flexibility to adapt across varied project scopes.
Additional Information
- Standard working week: 37 hours (scope for additional hours).
- Hybrid working - expected on-site 2 days per week.
- Immediate start available for the right candidate.
