The Role
- Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
- Develop practical engineering solutions for bespoke scenic and structural projects.
- Create fabrication drawings for steelwork, timber and mixed-material assemblies.
- Liaise with production and installation teams to ensure designs are delivered efficiently.
- Prepare bills of materials and technical documentation.
- Support projects from concept through to manufacture and installation.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering and safety standards.
About You
- Experience in a Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Structural Design Engineer position.
- Strong 3D CAD Inventor and AutoCAD Skills.
- Experience designing bespoke fabricated products or structures.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication, timber construction or sheet metal manufacturing.
- An understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within scenic construction, exhibitions, shopfitting, events, architectural metalwork or bespoke manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
