Systems Design Engineer - Industrial Refrigeration Location: South East England

Salary: £80000 About the Role We're recruiting for an experienced Systems Design Engineer to join a leading engineering business specialising in industrial refrigeration. You'll be responsible for designing bespoke refrigeration systems for complex industrial applications, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams from concept through to commissioning. Key Responsibilities Design industrial refrigeration systems and produce thermal calculations. Calculate refrigeration loads, pipe sizing and pressure losses. Select compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and associated equipment. Prepare and review P&IDs, technical documentation and engineering calculations. Work closely with project, electrical and controls engineers to deliver effective system designs. Provide technical support during project delivery, commissioning and customer meetings. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and industry regulations. Experience & Skills 7-10 years' experience in industrial refrigeration systems design. Essential: Proven experience designing ammonia (NHβ) refrigeration systems. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, vapour compression systems and refrigeration equipment selection. Experience with engineering design software and technical documentation. Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. What's on Offer Car allowance
