An innovative advanced technology company is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join its close-knit engineering team. You will work on complex electronic systems spanning analogue signal processing, digital electronics and embedded FPGA/MCU platforms, collaborating with engineers across multiple disciplines.
The Role
- Design, specify, verify and validate PCBs for advanced products.
- Design and document cables and wiring systems.
- Maintain version-controlled engineering data and coordinate PCB assembly with external suppliers.
- Integrate third-party electronic devices into wider systems.
- Cross functional collaboration with other engineering teams.
- Support hardware development, testing, integration and product release.
Essential Experience
- 2.1 degree or above in Electronic Engineering or a related physical science.
- 4+ years' professional experience in electronics design, PCB layout, manufacture and testing.
- Experience using a distributed version-control system such as Git or Mercurial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a small multidisciplinary team.
- Genuine interest in instrumentation and electronic system development.
Desirable Skills
- FPGA development, Verilog and FPGA development toolchains.
- Embedded C/C++ and Python.
- CE compliance, EMC testing and product safety.
- PCB design using KiCad or similar tools.
