The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of bespoke automation and special purpose machinery.
You’ll play a key role in designing electrical control systems for complex manufacturing equipment, working alongside automation and mechanical engineering teams to deliver innovative machinery for customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Produce electrical schematics using Auto CAD Electrical and EPLAN.
- Design electrical control panels and machine wiring layouts.
- Develop PLC I/O architecture and control system documentation.
- Specify sensors, instrumentation, drives and safety systems.
- Produce electrical BOMs and technical documentation.
- Support commissioning and machine build activities.
- Work closely with software engineers on PLC integration.
Requirements
- Electrical Design experience within machinery or automation.
- Experience designing control panels and machine electrical systems.
- Understanding of PLC control systems.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and industrial automation.
- Auto CAD Electrical and/or EPLAN experience.
