We are currently recruiting for a Transfer Station Supervisor in South West London. The role holder will provide a key role that directly contributes to the daily working and smooth running of the Transfer Station, through supervision of operational staff on a day-to-day basis within the guidelines laid down by the Transfer Station Manager. The role holder will be expected to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the operations are not impaired. Key elements of the role: The successful candidate will: Ensuring the Transfer Station is compliant with current legislation Ensuring the Transfer Station is compliant with environmental legislation Maintain health, safety, and security of the Transfer Station Ensuring the Maintenance department is working efficiently Managing the process of received waste Supervising operations Internal and external communication and documentation Must be able to work shifts as required – occasional overtime is available Job Requirements: The individual we are looking for will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and experience: First-class organisational skills Experience supervising an operational team 2 Educated to GCSE level equivalent or higher Excellent communication skills Working knowledge of current EA & HSE Legislation Ability to use and interpret technical data Experienced in providing excellent customer service. Knowledge or an interest in recycling Good verbal communication skills Friendly disposition
