Urgent Care Lead Physician

ROC Clinic is a leading healthcare provider based in Westhill- Aberdeen, dedicated to delivering exceptional medical services to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Doctor to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing high‑quality care to patients in need. Role Description This Urgent Care role is a leadership position that combines clinical and non‑clinical duties. This is a new role in the organisation, which currently provides primary care and secondary care services, inclusive of same‑day urgent consultations. As an Urgent Care Lead Physician you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive prompt and efficient medical attention for acute, urgent and non‑life‑threatening conditions during our one‑stop consultation diagnostic access service. You will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of urgent (acute and non‑acute) medical issues, from minor injuries and common illnesses to complex medical problems all based in an Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment centre. You will work alongside primary care, secondary care, nursing and imaging staff. As a Clinical Lead, you will be involved in the setup of the service, ensuring clinical guidelines, workflows and escalation pathways are in place and a robust system of staff training and clinical governance is established, monitored and reported on. Good communication and leadership skills are key to the success of the role. Person Specification Minimum 5 years of experience in an emergency/urgent care department setting. Up‑to‑date appraisals and revalidations. No GMC restrictions. MRCEM, MRCGP, MRCP or MRCGP are mandatory. Leadership skills and experience in managing staff. Ability and experience in drafting clinical guidelines and process pathways. We are looking for someone who is experienced in urgent care setting, confident and enjoys fast‑paced environment.
