Hosted and employed by Roby Medical Centre, Central and South Knowsley Primary Care Network is seeking to recruit a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner (NDP) to support the delivery of an innovative Adult ADHD Local Enhanced Service (LES) across our PCN. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a developing multidisciplinary service designed to improve access to ADHD assessment, support and ongoing care for adults within primary care.

Working alongside GPs with Extended Roles (GPwERs), Non-Medical Prescribers and wider primary care teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patients through a needs-led approach to ADHD care and support.

Main duties of the job

As a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for adults seeking support relating to ADHD.
  • Undertake needs-led categorisation assessments to identify patient needs and support requirements.
  • Provide evidence-based education, advice and guidance relating to ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Manage a caseload of patients requiring ongoing support and intervention.
  • Undertake ADHD annual reviews under appropriate clinical supervision.
  • Support patients to access appropriate services, resources and community support.
  • Work collaboratively with primary care, secondary care and partner organisations.
  • Contribute to the development of a new ADHD pathway across Knowsley.

Comprehensive ADHD-specific training, clinical supervision and support will be provided in line with the Cheshire and Merseyside Adult ADHD LES model.

About us

The post will be:

  • Employed by Roby Medical Centre on behalf of Central and South Knowsley PCN.
  • Based across the Central and South Knowsley PCN footprint.
  • Subject to NHS pre-employment checks.
  • Subject to satisfactory references.

This role is funded through the Adult ADHD Local Enhanced Service (LES) and is therefore linked to the continuation of this funding arrangement. As a result, any offer of employment will be made on a fixed-term basis aligned to the commissioning and funding arrangements in place at the time of appointment. Salary will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and will reflect the requirements of the Adult ADHD LES, relevant experience and qualifications.
