Your next opportunity awaits at Robson & Prescott. Salary up to £75,000 DOE and up to £3,000 relocation allowance. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) veterinary surgeon role in the small animal department, on a 4-day week with some out-of-hours commitments. The role is primarily first opinion, with opportunities for those who wish to develop their skillset or accommodate certificate holders.
About the Practice
Based in the market town of Morpeth in Northumberland, near the coastline and hills. We are a 27-vet practice with specialist departments covering small animal, exotics, equine, farm and exports. We operate a purpose-built hospital offering our own OOH to clients, with 8 branch surgeries. Our hospital houses 4 theatres, dental and radiography suites, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, hydrotherapy facilities and separate wards for cats, dogs, exotics and small mammals. We also have certificate holders across multiple disciplines including surgery, medicine, cardiology, behaviour, feline medicine and exotics.
Responsibilities
- Provide veterinary clinical care in a primarily first-opinion role within the small animal department.
- Contribute to surgical cases and be supported to develop surgical techniques and career progression.
- Participate in out-of-hours commitments as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience and a passion for surgery; interest in developing surgical skills or focusing on specific techniques. Certificate holders are welcomed.
