This is a Hybrid role, which can be based from any one of our offices in Jesmond, Chester-le-Street or Teesside.
Role Overview:
Our thriving audit and assurance department is looking for an ambitious and confident individual to join as an Audit Senior or Semi-Senior. The role involves working on accounts and audits of medium and large sized companies with exposure to a range of different industries.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified, or currently studying towards this qualification, with a strong commitment to maintaining and developing technical expertise.
- Experience within a UK audit practice environment, delivering statutory audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and limited companies across various sectors
- Experience in the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements
- Technical knowledge and practical application of FRS102, FRS 102 section 1A and UK GAAP
- Experienced in planning audits, performing risk assessments, reviewing junior audit work, identifying key audit issues, and completing audit assignments within agreed deadlines
- Proven ability to supervise, coach, and review the work of junior team members while maintaining high-quality audit standards
- Regularly liaise with clients, managers, and partners to resolve technical matters and deliver an efficient audit service
