We are partnering with a large global technology organisation delivering cloud-based SaaS and bespoke software solutions to more than 20 million users worldwide. As part of continued growth across Product and Engineering, they are looking for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager to lead complex engineering delivery across multiple squads within a large-scale, dependency-heavy environment.

Important

This role requires strong technical delivery expertise. While not a hands-on engineering role, you must be technically credible and comfortable working closely with Engineering Managers and Architects across complex software environments. You should have a solid understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, CI/CD, technical dependencies, and the delivery challenges associated with large-scale engineering environments. This role is focused on engineering delivery leadership rather than governance-led project management. Candidates whose experience is primarily centered around PMO coordination, milestone tracking, or governance-only delivery are unlikely to be a fit.

Reporting to the VP of Delivery, you will help drive execution maturity, delivery predictability, and cross-team coordination across product, platform, and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own delivery across 3–4 engineering squads
  • Drive clarity around priorities, scope, sequencing, and execution
  • Manage delivery across feature work, technical debt, platform initiatives, and operational issues
  • Coordinate cross-team and transversal initiatives
  • Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, and technical constraints
  • Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Product teams
  • Improve delivery predictability, transparency, and execution maturity
  • Coach teams toward stronger collaboration, accountability, and delivery practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience within Technical Delivery, Agile Delivery, or Engineering Delivery environments
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple engineering squads
  • Proven delivery experience within SaaS or bespoke software environments
  • Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices and cloud-based systems
  • Experience managing complex dependencies and delivery risk
  • Ability to balance feature delivery against technical debt and platform stability
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Agile or Project Management certification (Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)

This role will suit a senior delivery professional who combines strong execution leadership with genuine technical understanding and is comfortable operating close to engineering teams in complex software delivery environments.
