Role Overview
This is a senior-level Solution Architecture role responsible for both hands-on architecture delivery and supporting / mentoring other Solution Architects. The role operates across complex Finance and Risk domains, providing end-to-end solution design, architectural governance, and strategic alignment within large-scale financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance & Risk Architecture
- Design and govern end-to-end solutions translating Finance and Risk business requirements into scalable, robust architectures aligned to long-term strategy.
- Act as a trusted architecture partner to Finance, Risk, Operations, Architecture, and Technology stakeholders.
- Contribute to solution design for complex initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Lead solution architecture in complex, regulated financial services environments.
- Produce clear functional architectures, logical component designs, and system interaction models.
- Balance immediate business outcomes with long-term architectural sustainability.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical designs align with approved architecture.
- Peer review designs produced by other architects to ensure architectural integrity and standards compliance.
- Drive decommissioning, simplification, and data archival initiatives where appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to architecture governance processes, principles, and standards.
- Leadership & Ways of Working
- Provide guidance and support to other Solution Architects.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Operate independently with a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
