We're looking for a Client Engagement Lead with a digital design background to join our UK team. This is a hybrid role that goes beyond traditional delivery management. You'll lead client engagements end-to-end while also working closely with senior leadership to support sales activities, run client workshops, and keep the wider business running smoothly.

It's a role for someone who thrives on variety, brings calm structure to ambiguity, and genuinely enjoys both the craft of digital product work and the rhythm of building a business.

Project delivery (approx. 40%)

You'll own the delivery of digital design and product engagements for our UK clients. That means scoping work, building project plans, managing budgets and timelines, and being the day‑to‑day point of contact. You'll work alongside designers, researchers, engineers, and strategists (mostly distributed across the UK and India), making sure the right people are doing the right work at the right time. You'll keep clients confident and informed, flag risks early, and protect the quality of what we ship.

Sales and growth support (approx. 40%)

You'll partner with the UK leadership team on new business, helping shape proposals, scoping and estimating new opportunities, joining client pitches, and contributing to RFP responses. You'll also help facilitate discovery workshops and design sprints with prospective and existing clients, often acting as the bridge between commercial conversations and what's actually deliverable.

Operations and admin (approx. 20%)

You'll help keep the UK operation organised, coordinating internal meetings, supporting reporting and forecasting, managing supplier and contractor relationships, and generally being the person who notices what needs doing and gets it done. As the team grows, this part of the role will evolve.

What we're looking for
  • 6+ years managing digital product or design projects, ideally in an agency, consultancy, or product studio environment
  • A genuine background in or strong fluency with digital design. You don't need to be a designer, but you should have worked closely with design teams and understand the craft (UX research, UI design, design systems, prototyping, usability testing)
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, and strategy
  • Confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders, and a track record of building lasting client relationships
  • Strong commercial instincts. Comfortable with scoping, estimation, margin, and conversations about money
  • Experience contributing to new business: proposals, pitches, workshops, or pre‑sales scoping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. You can write a sharp proposal and run a tight workshop
  • Highly organised, self‑directed, and comfortable wearing several hats in a growing team
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Figma, and standard project/PM tooling
Nice to have
  • Background working with offshore or distributed delivery teams
  • Exposure to AI‑enabled product work or service design
  • Hands‑on design or research experience earlier in your career

What we offer

  • Hybrid working with our UK team
  • A senior, visible role with direct exposure to leadership and clients
  • The chance to shape how Robosoft grows in the UK
