What you’ll do: Turn policies into practice. As a law graduate in our Taxation & Law stream you’ll work on complex legal cases, applying your legislative knowledge to detect, investigate and resolve taxpayer matters. You’ll work alongside industry leaders to develop and apply the policies that shape one of the world’s leading tax and super administration systems. With a law qualification, the Taxation & Law stream could be your career verdict. You could:
- provide legal and dispute resolution support for non‑tax matters
- investigate and take legal action against tax avoidance, evasion and fraud across individuals, businesses and tax agents
- analyse, interpret and apply legislation, policies, practices and precedents to resolve legal matters under guidance or to elevate cases where appropriate
- assist in managing disputes across various jurisdictions on behalf of the ATO.
