Our clients realise measurable benefits in revenue, profitability and service, with multiples of return on investment, typically in-year. We enable future ways of working with AI and Automation, supporting our clients to completely rethink how they operate.

We are looking for a Principal Consultant with 5+ years experience and skills in Business Analysis. Skills or interest in User-Centred Service Design and experience in a technology-led environment are advantageous to this role. Technical development and delivery skills are not required for this role.

As a Principal Consultant in the Analysis & Design Practice your role is focused in two areas:

  • Project delivery – you will work with minimal supervision to uncover business and user challenges, problems, and opportunities, as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. You will work with your colleagues in the Technology practice to generate concepts for potential solutions, sizing their potential impact and so enabling informed client decision-making. You will support the technical delivery of these solutions by preparing and refining backlogs of business and user requirements.
  • Practice contribution – you will proactively contribute to the Analysis & Design practice’s culture and development, suggesting and driving-forward improvement initiatives.

This is a billable role, where you will spend 75% of your time working on client projects. You may also have line management responsibility where you will lead and mentor others in the Practice.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have prior experience working as a Business Analyst or Service Designer in digital consulting or technology-led environment.
  • Be comfortable working with minimal supervision to conduct robust and effective research and analysis.
  • Be able to craft compelling narratives, presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of analysts, designers, and developers to uncover a range of challenges and opportunities.
  • Help stakeholders to prioritise challenges and opportunities based on their potential impact vs effort.
  • Work collaboratively with your peers in the Technology practice to identify, design, and prototype potential solutions that balance business and user requirements with technical feasibility.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of highly-engaging, collaborative workshops with both client and internal stakeholders.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Hold, have recently held, or be willing to go through SC clearance
  • Have experience working in-line with the Government Digital Service Standard

Activities you may be involved in include:

  • Workshop design and delivery
  • As-Is process and journey mapping
  • Business and user requirements gathering
  • Solution ideation, prototyping, and high-level design
  • Benefits calculation and business case creation
  • To-Be process and journey mapping
  • Backlog definition and ongoing refinement
  • Practice development initiatives

We offer a competitive salary and bonus package, opportunities for growth and development and a fantastic team culture that you will love working in.
