Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our production team in Lockerbie. If you’re someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and wants to be part of a respected and supportive team.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of our production team, you’ll work on a wide variety of bespoke structural steel and fabrication projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Fabricating and welding structural steel components
  • MIG/MAG welding to a high standard
  • Measuring, marking, and preparing steelwork accurately
  • Inspecting and checking completed welds and dimensions
  • Using workshop equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Working collaboratively to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment

Essential:
  • Minimum 3 years’ MIG welding experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ fabrication experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
Desirable:
  • Experience working with structural steel
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
