JOB OVERVIEW:

The Group Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across Robinsons and CWP Concrete. The role will focus on building relationships with contractors, agents, distributors and end users, expanding the customer base, and identifying market opportunities that support the group’s continued growth.

Working closely with the Managing Director and wider business teams, the successful candidate will help strengthen existing relationships, develop new sales channels and provide market intelligence to support future business decisions.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for Robinsons and Concrete Wall Panels across existing and emerging markets through market research
  • Monitor market and industry trends, competitor activity/developments and customer feedback, sharing insights and opportunities with the management team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, agricultural businesses, merchants, agents and other key industry contacts.
  • Establish and support a network of agents, distributors and consumers to promote and generate opportunities for both businesses.
  • Proactively generate and manage a pipeline of leads through networking, referrals, market research and industry engagement.
  • Represent the businesses at trade shows, exhibitions, customer meetings and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and supporting information to prospective customers and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with internal team, including sales, marketing and operations to ensure opportunities are progressed effectively and customers receive a high-quality experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activity, customer interactions and sales opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on pipeline activity, new opportunities and business development performance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Previous experience within a business development, sales, account management or relationship management role.
  • Experience within construction, manufacturing, agricultural or related industries
  • Experience working with agents, distributors or reseller networks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with customers and industry contacts.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to generating opportunities.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in market trends.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
