JOB OVERVIEW:
We are currently recruiting for a Site Labourer to work within our Steel Erectors & Cladders division based in Ayr. The positions will be responsible for assisting in the erecting and cladding steel framed buildings for Agricultural and Industrial projects, throughout our UK based sites. The ideal candidates will form an existing team and have a proven experience working within a construction environment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor, the key duties and responsibilities for these roles include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the erecting of steel structures and buildings.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and on-site procedures.
- Ensure site areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy manner at all times.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties
- Assist with general ad hoc duties as and when required
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Possess the ability to read and understand drawings.
- Have an understanding of health and safety, manual handling and working at height regulations.
- Due to the nature of these roles, you must be willing to travel throughout the UK with overnight stays required depending on the site location.:
- IPAF for MEWPs operator’s licence is desirable.
- A valid CSCS Card/CPCS is desirable.
- Hold a valid CPCS card for Slinger/ Signaller.
- First Aid Certificate
- Valid driving licence is preferred
