Role Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor with strong experience across general civil litigation and family law matters. This role suits a confident, proactive lawyer who can manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a mixed caseload of civil litigation and family law files from instruction to resolution
- Advising clients on disputes including contract issues, property matters, debt recovery, and contentious probate
- Handling family law matters such as divorce, financial remedy, cohabitation disputes, and private children matters
- Drafting pleadings and legal documents including statements of case, applications, witness statements, and settlement agreements
- Conducting advocacy at interim hearings where appropriate
- Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediation
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm-wide procedures
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor with minimum 3 years PQE in litigation and/or family law
- Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and family law processes
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Experience conducting advocacy is desirable but not essential
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to practice development
