Robinson Interiors is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant to join our busy retail showroom based on Boucher Road, Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function within a well-established medium-sized business. The successful candidate will work closely with the partners and play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Purchase Ledger, including supplier payments and project records.
- Maintain the Sales Ledger, including invoicing, statements and customer correspondence.
- Process and maintain the Nominal Ledger.
- Complete bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
- Reconcile company credit card accounts.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Manage credit control activities.
- Prepare and submit online VAT returns (UK, ROI and Intrastat).
- Prepare and submit HMRC CIS returns.
- Support payroll administration.
- Manage office supplies and general office administration.
- Carry out filing and other administrative duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualified Accounting Technician status or be Part-Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role within industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage the full accounts function and report directly to the partners.
