Robinson Interiors is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant to join our busy retail showroom based on Boucher Road, Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function within a well-established medium-sized business. The successful candidate will work closely with the partners and play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Purchase Ledger, including supplier payments and project records.
  • Maintain the Sales Ledger, including invoicing, statements and customer correspondence.
  • Process and maintain the Nominal Ledger.
  • Complete bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
  • Reconcile company credit card accounts.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Manage credit control activities.
  • Prepare and submit online VAT returns (UK, ROI and Intrastat).
  • Prepare and submit HMRC CIS returns.
  • Support payroll administration.
  • Manage office supplies and general office administration.
  • Carry out filing and other administrative duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualified Accounting Technician status or be Part-Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role within industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage the full accounts function and report directly to the partners.
