The Role
I am working with a well-established M&E contractor who is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee electrical installations on a large Student Accommodation project. The role will involve supervising site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to someone with a strong electrical background who is confident in running day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installations from first fix through to commissioning and handover
- Manage electricians and subcontractors on site
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, RAMS, and safe systems of work
- Coordinate with project managers, site managers, and other M&E trades
- Monitor programme and report progress against key milestones
- Maintain quality standards, manage snagging, and support final handover
- Attend site meetings and provide regular updates
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Supervisor or Senior Electrician
- Strong background in commercial and/or residential electrical projects
- Sound knowledge of BS 7671 and current regulations
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- ECS / CSCS certification
- Ability to lead site teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
