About the role: As a Learning Support Assistant in our Specialist Resource Provision, you will support pupils both within the provision and during carefully planned opportunities to learn and play alongside their peers in the mainstream school. You will help children access learning, build relationships, regulate their emotions and develop the skills they need to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with mild to moderate autism in small group and individual contexts.
- Help pupils access learning within the specialist provision and mainstream classrooms.
- Support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and independence.
- Work closely with teachers, senior leaders, families and external professionals.
- Contribute to a calm, nurturing and highly inclusive environment.
- Be part of a team that reflects together and celebrates every step of progress.
