Overview
Position: Kitchen Manager
Location: The Marvell College
Employment Type: Full Time, 35 Hours per week
Your Role
Responsible for the overall management of the school catering operation, including setting and maintaining standards, managing budgets and targets. The success of this role relies on positive leadership of the team and fostering strong relationships with the client and students. You will oversee daily operations and manage a team of front-line employees performing catering services.
Duties
- Food Service Management: Manage and develop the App ordering system.
- Keep Nutrics Allergy information up to date.
- Consult with the client on menu planning and provide feedback to the company.
- Ensure compliance with nominated suppliers and approved product lists.
- Adhere to company food policies regarding cultural, religious, ethnic, allergies, and special diets.
- Follow recipes and ensure menu compliance, presentation, promotion, and pricing are maintained daily.
- Emphasize customer service and food presentation standards with the team.
- Ensure correct portion control and waste reduction to meet daily sales targets.
- Understand the link between high-quality food and increased sales and customer uptake.
