Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Review invitation to tender (ITT) documents and specifications to understand client requirements.
  • Assess the scope for hard services (e.g. M&E, fabric maintenance), soft services (e.g. cleaning, security, catering), or total FM (integrated).
  • Collaborate with bid teams and senior management to develop a winning strategy and approach.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, based on subcontractor quotes, and self-delivery rates.
  • Factor in lifecycle costing, possible year-on-year savings, staffing models, and risk contingencies.
  • Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes for specialist services.
  • Ensure quotes are aligned with the tender requirements and value for money.
  • Define and cost labour requirements, shift patterns, and productivity rates for service delivery.
  • Work with operational teams to validate assumptions and delivery models.
  • Ensure tenders comply with legal, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and quantify risks (e.g., inflation, TUPE, paymech).
  • Work closely with bid managers, business development, and technical experts to align pricing with the written submission.
  • Participate in bid reviews, pricing validations, and governance processes.
  • Use data and insights from previous bids, industry benchmarks, and FM market trends to inform pricing strategy.
  • Support bid presentations, attend client meetings, and respond to clarification questions post-submission.

What you’ll need:

  • Degree level in relevant Facilities Management related discipline preferred or 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced in the Facilities Management Sector.
  • Highly customer-focused both internal and external.
  • Excellent communication skills with the skill and ability to present to the board of directors.
  • Must have an exceptional understanding of SFG20.
