Your new role
- Maintain and supervise the performance of cleaning staff in line with contractual KPI’s, including training and arrangements of duty rotas and cover arrangements.
- Liaise with the Facilities Manager to help provide cover for overtime, annual leave, absence etc., and complete relevant staff spreadsheets.
- Allocation of work and quality control, check work schedules and resolve problems.
- Assist in the compliance with the site waste management procedures.
- Ensure that RFM procedures and practices are adhered to, i.e. Health & Safety and COSHH.
- Ensure that the cleanliness of the site is maintained to the required standards, liaising with the Facilities Manager on completion of quality audits.
- Check all equipment is clean and in good working order, reporting any faults to the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure safe working methods and report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
- Ensure efficient stock control, usage of materials, and complete stock spreadsheets.
- Respond to any helpdesk calls efficiently and on time as may be directed from time to time by the Facilities Manager.
- Any other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager in conjunction with RFM's operational requirements.
- Work with other members of the RFM team in the best interests of the company.
- Maintain an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures, and objectives related to the successful delivery of the administration and helpdesk service.
- To carry out any other office duties assigned by the Management Team as the role evolves.
- Be responsible for weekly team talks, distribution of toolbox talks, and other management updates.
About you:
- General cleaning experience.
- Previous supervisory experience desirable but not essential.
- Experience working within facilities management is desirable.
- Experience of Microsoft Packages would be advantageous.
- Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety best practices.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations.
- Takes initiative and works reliably.
- Good working level of spoken and written English to carry out cleaning duties safely and to communicate with clients and the management team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
