Your new role

  • Support the BSM and BSE in the liaison with the Design Teams / Sub-contractors to ensure tender and construction information issued timeously.
  • Carry out specific tasks as instructed by the BSM and BSE to assist the tendering process for Building Services to ensure cost plan is achieved.
  • Understand and support the BSM and BSE to provide value engineering input into the Building Services package.
  • Carry out Quality Control of installations on both M&P installations, learning from the relevant BSE’s individual skills.
  • Assist by minuting meetings with Services sub-contractors.
  • Attend technical meetings with Design Team, Site Staff, Sub-contractors and Utilities Providers with BSM and BSE.
  • Keep site records up to date and deal with correspondence as necessary.
  • Assist the BSM and BSE to support the commissioning process to ensure successful handover.
  • Monitor and administer a ‘zero snagging’ policy for all Building Services works and learn the BiM Field snagging procedure.
  • Assist the BSM/BSE to ensure full O&M documentation is provided for handover and is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Assist with aftercare issues.
  • Carry out Commission support activities as directed by the Building Services Manager and Cx Manager.

Essential:

  • Qualification in an electrical or mechanical trade.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Willing to work towards a HNC/HND in a building services discipline.
