I am currently partnering with a leading global investment bank that is looking to hire an Associate into its highly regarded Technology M&A team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for a strong investment banking professional to join a market-leading platform advising on high-profile transactions across the technology sector. The team works with a broad range of public and private technology companies, financial sponsors, founder-led businesses, and strategic acquirers across Europe and globally.

As an Associate, you will be a key member of the deal team, taking ownership of core execution workstreams while working closely with senior bankers on complex M&A transactions. This role offers excellent exposure to major clients, cross-border deal activity, and some of the most active areas of the technology market.

The role will involve:

  • Managing key aspects of live M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, carve-out, take-private, and strategic advisory mandates.
  • Preparing financial models, valuation analysis, transaction materials, management presentations, board materials, and client pitch books.
  • Conducting company and sector research across software, internet, fintech, digital infrastructure, IT services, cybersecurity, data, and other technology subsectors.
  • Coordinating with clients, investors, legal advisers, accountants, consultants, and internal product teams throughout transaction processes.
  • Supporting senior bankers with origination initiatives, client coverage, market updates, and strategic pitches.
  • Managing Analysts and junior team members, reviewing workstreams, and helping drive high standards across execution.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or transaction services experience, ideally at Analyst 3 or Associate level.
  • Strong technical skills across financial modelling, valuation, accounting, and transaction execution.
  • Experience in technology M&A or a demonstrable interest in the technology sector.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a demanding environment.
  • The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to client discussions.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced global banking platform.

Why this opportunity stands out:

This is a chance to join one of the most recognised names in global investment banking and become part of a high-performing Technology M&A team with a strong pipeline of transactions. The successful candidate will benefit from exposure to landmark deals, international clients, and best-in-class training and development. The role offers a strong platform for career progression, with the opportunity to build deep sector expertise and work alongside highly experienced senior bankers.
