I am working with a highly regarded mid-market investment banking firm in London that is looking to appoint a
Vice President
into its growing
IT Services / Technology Services
team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional who wants to take on a visible, execution-focused role within a specialist advisory platform. The firm has a strong track record advising founder-led, private equity-backed, and corporate clients across the technology and IT services landscape, with a particular focus on mid-market M&A transactions.
As a VP, you will play a key role in driving deal execution, managing client workstreams, and supporting senior bankers in the origination and delivery of transactions. You will work closely with Managing Directors and Directors, while also taking responsibility for mentoring Associates and Analysts within the team.
The role will involve:
Leading day-to-day execution on M&A transactions across the IT services sector, including sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory mandates.
Managing financial modelling, valuation analysis, buyer research, information memoranda, management presentations, and other key transaction materials.
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, private equity investors, strategic buyers, lawyers, accountants, and other advisers throughout live processes.
Supporting senior bankers with sector coverage, origination materials, pitch preparation, and market mapping.
Developing a strong understanding of trends across IT services, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, digital transformation, software implementation, and related technology-enabled services markets.
Managing and developing junior team members, ensuring high-quality execution and delivery across all workstreams.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory experience, ideally at Associate 3 level, VP level, or equivalent.
Strong transaction execution experience, preferably within technology, IT services, business services, or another relevant sector.
Excellent financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.
The confidence to manage clients and transaction processes with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
A commercial mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
A genuine interest in the IT services and technology-enabled services sector.
Why this opportunity stands out:
You will join a respected mid-market platform with strong momentum, high-quality deal flow, and direct exposure to senior decision-makers. The role offers the opportunity to take real ownership of transactions, build deep sector expertise, and progress within a collaborative, ambitious team.
The firm is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys working in a hands-on advisory environment, wants meaningful client exposure, and is motivated by advising entrepreneurs, shareholders, and investors on strategically important transactions.
