I am currently partnering with a highly regarded mid-market investment bank in London that is looking to appoint a Vice President into its Technology Investment Banking team. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing franchise with strong deal flow, an established client base across Europe, and clear momentum in the technology sector.
The Platform
Our client is a well-capitalised, entrepreneurial investment bank with a strong track record advising founder-led, sponsor-backed and listed technology businesses. The team operates across software, fintech, IT services, digital infrastructure, and tech-enabled services, advising on:
- Sell-side and buy-side M&A
- Growth equity and private capital raises
- Public market transactions
- Strategic advisory mandates
The Technology team in London works closely with colleagues across Europe and the US, offering genuine cross-border exposure while maintaining a collaborative, mid-market culture.
The Opportunity
As Vice President, you will play a central role in both execution and origination. You will be expected to run transactions day-to-day, manage Associates and Analysts, and build meaningful client relationships alongside senior bankers. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading execution across M&A and capital markets transactions
- Acting as the primary day-to-day client contact
- Managing financial modelling, valuation analysis, and transaction materials
- Coordinating due diligence processes and external advisors
- Supporting business development and pitch activity
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
This role offers genuine leadership exposure and a clear pathway toward Director-level progression.
The Candidate
We are keen to speak with candidates who demonstrate:
- 5–8 years’ experience within investment banking, with strong M&A credentials
- Sector exposure to technology (software, IT services, digital infrastructure and tech enabled verticals)
- Experience leading transactions and managing junior teams
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
- Commercial judgement and confidence in client-facing situations
- A desire to work in a high-performing but collegiate mid-market environment
- Prior experience at a recognised investment bank or advisory platform is essential.
Why Consider This Role?
- Entrepreneurial culture with access to senior decision-makers
- Genuine responsibility and client exposure at VP level
- Competitive compensation with performance-driven upside
- London-based role with international transaction exposure
If you are a Technology-focused investment banking VP (or a strong Associate ready for promotion) seeking a platform where you can take ownership, broaden your client exposure, and accelerate your progression, I would welcome a confidential conversation.
