We are working with one of Europe’s largest and most established investment banks to appoint a Vice President within its London-based Consumer and Internet M&A team. The team advises high-profile corporates, founders and financial sponsors across the rapidly evolving consumer technology landscape, with particular strength in online marketplaces, internet classifieds, disruptive commerce, digital platforms and technology-enabled consumer businesses. The Role
As a Vice President, you will take a leading role across both transaction execution and client development. You will be responsible for managing complex M&A processes while helping senior bankers originate new opportunities and deepen relationships with key corporate and private equity clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day execution of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions
- Advising businesses across internet classifieds, digital marketplaces, e-commerce, consumer technology and disruptive commerce
- Managing valuation, financial analysis, transaction materials and senior-level client presentations
- Coordinating internal product teams, international offices, legal advisers and other transaction stakeholders
- Developing strategic ideas and sector-led acquisition or divestment opportunities for clients
- Supporting the origination of new mandates and contributing to pitches and client meetings
- Managing and developing Analysts and Associates across live transactions
- Building relationships with founders, management teams, corporates, private equity firms and growth investors
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Significant M&A or investment banking experience gained at a leading bank or advisory firm
- Experience operating at Vice President level, or as a high-performing senior Associate ready to step up
- Strong transaction experience within consumer technology, internet, digital marketplaces, e-commerce or a closely related sector
- A demonstrable track record of managing complex M&A processes from preparation through to completion
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
- The confidence to manage senior client relationships and participate in origination activity
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing junior bankers
- The ability to operate effectively within a high-performing, international and collaborative environment
