Our client, a leading technology services organisation, is looking for a Network Support Engineer to provide technical support and help maintain robust, secure, and reliable networks for their customers. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, internal teams, and clients to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and ensure smooth network operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide second-line support for networking issues, identifying and resolving problems across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Work closely with Level 1 support teams to elevate and resolve complex network incidents efficiently.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
- Monitor network performance and implement basic troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures clearly for internal knowledge sharing.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop your technical skills and understanding of multi-vendor networks (HPE, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell, etc.).
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide timely updates on incidents and projects.
- Participate in workshops, training sessions, and hands‑on exercises to enhance your networking knowledge.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in network support or a similar technical role.
- Hands‑on experience with networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls, access points) and basic configurations.
- Understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rules.
- Good troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior engineers.
Certifications Preferred
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP
- Network+ or other foundational networking certifications
