The Role
This is a critical position responsible for leading end-to-end bid management across public and private sector opportunities, with a particular focus on public sector frameworks. You’ll own the bid lifecycle, from qualification through to submission, ensuring every response is compliant, compelling, and commercially robust.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full bid lifecycle, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality submissions
- Manage multiple concurrent tenders, frameworks, and mini-competitions, prioritising effectively
- Support go/no-go decisions based on commercial viability, resource requirements, and probability of success
- Develop structured bid plans, timelines, compliance matrices, and governance frameworks
- Produce clear, persuasive, and customer-focused bid content aligned to evaluation criteria
- Translate complex technical solutions into compelling public sector narratives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, commercial, finance, and leadership teams
- Track bid performance, customer feedback, and win/loss data to improve future submissions
- Enhance bid quality and efficiency through the use of tools, AI, and structured content libraries
- Contribute to continuous improvement, embedding best practice across bid processes and governance
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager within IT services, technology, or complex solutions environments
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement, including frameworks, tender portals, and evaluation criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft high-scoring responses
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders under pressure
- Experience in public sector frameworks, including mini-competitions and call-offs
- Strong understanding of IT services such as cloud, cyber, infrastructure, and managed services
- Familiarity with bid tools, AI solutions, and content management practices
- Track record of improving bid processes, templates, and knowledge libraries
Advantageous Experience
- Contributing to bid governance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives
- Exposure to ISO standards (9001, 14001, 27001) environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and commercial teams
