Software Tester – Automation & Manual

Our client are a well established software provider that are building their new software development team. They are now looking for a Software Tester to join their Hampshire based business.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Design and execute automated and manual test scripts for both functional and non-functional testing across the development lifecycle.
• Develop test strategies using a risk-based approach to ensure quality during Agile delivery.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to refine requirements and drive testability.
• Maintain and prioritise the bug backlog, ensuring defects are tracked through to resolution.
• Configure and maintain test automation integrated with CI/CD and build pipelines.
• Contribute to Agile sprints by supporting all phases of testing.
• Build and sustain UI and API test automation frameworks.

Experience Required

• Proven experience in test automation for web and mobile applications using tools such as Selenium and Appium .
• Familiarity with writing test scripts and acceptance criteria using BDD and Gherkin .
• Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with performance testing, system integration testing, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Experience in test strategy creation and agile software delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of tools such as Postman , JMeter , Visual Studio , and Azure DevOps .
