This is a hands‑on position ideal for a detail‑driven Senior Accountant who enjoys analysing large data sets, interrogating accounts, and ensuring balance sheet accuracy. You’ll play a critical role in preparing the business for audit, ensuring entries are correct and fully validated.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed account analysis and prepare order reconciliation schedules.
- Review accounting system entries and transfer data to Excel for deeper investigation.
- Analyse transactions thoroughly—beyond copy/paste—to identify errors, anomalies, and trends.
- Ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts across multiple entities and currencies.
- Review and reconcile cross‑currency and international VAT transactions.
- Support audit preparation by ensuring all data is validated and compliant.
- Liaise with operational and finance teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Provide ongoing insights to improve data quality and financial controls.
- Strong accounting background, ideally at Senior Accountant level.
- Proven experience in account analysis and balance sheet investigation.
- Excellent Excel capability (data slicing, reconciliation, analysis).
- Experience with cross‑currency or international transaction environments.
