Key Role Responsibilities
- Act as a lead pre-sales architect for infrastructure modernisation and hybrid IT transformation projects.
- Collaborate with account managers to qualify customer requirements and craft technically robust solutions.
- Design end-to-end infrastructure strategies across data centre, cloud, and networking domains.
- Engage with customers and partners in technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and presentations.
- Oversee solution governance, ensuring all deliverables meet customer and internal standards.
- Maintain technical certification across partner technologies and contribute to internal education initiatives.
- Support and mentor junior engineers, helping to elevate technical capability across the business.
Key Attributes Required
- 5+ years' experience in a pre-sales or solutions architecture role focused on infrastructure or data centre transformation.
- Expertise in hybrid IT environments and technologies from vendors such as HPE, Dell, IBM, NetApp, and VMware.
- Deep understanding of configuration tools, infrastructure sizing, and technical design principles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience in technologies such as: VMware vSphere/Cloud Foundation, Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Linux, containerisation, orchestration tools (e.g., Apstra).
- Familiarity with data protection, disaster recovery, and IT service management practices.
- Demonstrable ability to lead technical initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
