UK wide market leading Engineering Services business supporting commercial and industrial sectors have a new and progressive opportunity for a Parts and Stores Controller / Parts Administrator to join their Peterborough team working 8am-5pm Mon-Friday.

This urgent appointment can offer you genuine scope to further yourself with trusted autonomy in an environment that is positive and friendly.

You will be proactive in the purchasing of equipment, tools and the management of their stores.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in procurement or inventory administration, stores management, inventory control with strong administrative skills.

Your responsibilities will be actively varied whilst ensuring that engineers have the right tools, parts and equipment they need at the right time and the right place, so they can efficiently do their jobs and deliver a great service to their customers.

You will source and order parts and materials, PPE and tools. You’ll need to ensure items are delivered to the correct place on the correct day for the Engineers site visit, or if the Engineers visit the depot, you’ll pack, prepare and allocate them for their specific jobs ready for the Engineer to take with them.

You will be present in the office conducting your administration of invoices, processing warranties and updating records. The remainder of your time will be in the stores, keeping control of stock, making sure the area is neat and tidy and allocating parts to the correct jobs.

Experience in a similar role i.e in an electrical wholesalers, plumbing wholesalers, builders merchants or similar supplier based industry would be advantageous.

Candidates sought will naturally be computer literate with Microsoft Office packages and databases with the ability to learn new computer software systems.

You must have a current and valid UK driving licence as some driving / deliveries to site may be required at times in one of the organisations sign written vehicles.
