Long established Consulting Engineers with offices nationally seek a further skilled and talented Senior Structural Engineer to join their friendly and professional team. Ideally chartered and looking to progress your career further, you will be based out of their Birmingham offices.
Responsibilities
- Work mainly on structural schemes for high and medium rise residential and student accommodation; the business also works on commercial and industrial projects as well as schools, hotels, universities, housing and care homes.
- Be confident, skilled and experienced in your craft as a Structural Engineer, and be competent and capable of running your own schemes valued up to £25M.
- Produce structural calculations and designs using AutoCAD, with a support structure of a Technician who will produce these under your coordination and guidance.
- Act as a competent project manager, enjoy meeting clients and be confident in face-to-face meetings representing a leading and highly respected player with professionalism and integrity.
- Participate in ongoing staff development and take advantage of opportunities for progression and training.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver projects efficiently, with an emphasis on quality and timely delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ideally chartered and seeking to progress to Associate Level Director within or after one year depending on success in the role.
- Experience producing structural calculations and designs; proficiency in AutoCAD; previous experience in a senior role with a support structure of a Technician.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to represent the firm professionally in meetings.
