A leading Building Services organisation has a newly created role for an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their stable and progressive business. In the main, you will conduct planned and preventative maintenance of electrical services as well as reactive repairs and upgrades primarily based at Manchester Airport (MAN), but you will also be mobile and conduct the same services at other locations.

You will be required to complete daily, weekly, monthly and 6 monthly PPM tasks adhering to SFG20 requirements, completing and documenting check sheets and reports for each PPM task, including daily and weekly system checks.

Candidates sought will ideally have technical knowledge of critical environments power, H&V systems, public address systems, fire alarm works and emergency lighting etc. Qualified Engineers might have City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671), Testing & Inspection qualifications; these are desirable, but not essential. Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a mobile or static building services electrical role with a desire to become mobile is highly sought.

Candidates applying must have strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of commercial electrical systems, be a clear communicator and have good customer service/facing skills. Naturally for this role, we seek those who are happy to work well independently and who can manage their time effectively.
